This two-story farm house was built in 1877 by postmaster and storekeeper, D.C. Umstead. The home is now on the National Register of Historic Places and was renovated in 2015. A kitchen and dining room were added to the back. The addition was built with salvage materials from nearby farm structures and incorporates solar panels and a geothermal heat pump.
